02.12.2011 Start of a season of top-level competition (Grandvalira)

The largest skiable domain in the Pyrenees plans to open its doors on 2on December. If meteorological conditions permit, this will be the first day of the 2011-12 season, a unique season in which the domain will host two world cups, the World Cup Alpine Ski Women Soldeu 2012 and the Speed Ski World Cup Grau Roig 2012. A permanent show!

31.12.2011 End of year torch downhill (Grandvalira-Soldeu)

Time: 6.30 pm (Avet slope) / Free access at the foot of the slope

The traditional end of year torch parade will be the closing event of 2011. At 6.30 pm, on the Avet slope of Grandvalira-Soldeu, the biggest torch downhill in the history of Soldeu-El Tarter will begin with the participation of Ski School and Snowboard instructors. The spectacular downhill will culminate in a fireworks show. This magical night will end with a big party at the foot of the slope where all those present will be offered mulled wine, cake and chocolate.

11.02.2011 World Cup Soldeu 2012 Ceremony - Palau de Gel d’Andorra (Canillo)

Time: 6 pm / Free access to the show

The Palau de Gel d’Andorra has been chosen to hold the World Cup Soldeu 2012 ceremony. The event will begin with the awards presentation for winners of the giant slalom, followed by the numbers draw for the slalom race on Sunday 12th February. An artistic skating show, which will transport us to the universe of competition and to the values of sport and team work. A unique opportunity to enjoy the Alpine spirit. Entry to the event is free.
