Tessa Worley, wins GS in Grandvalira Soldeu 2012

Today the French skier Tessa Worley, has imposed herself as the best skier of the Grandvalira-Soldeu 2012 Giant slalom.

This race, held on the Avet slope in the words of Worley“ is one of the best tracks that she has ever skied on in the World Cup circuit“ and Maria Hoefl-Riesch, has called it even this season‘s „best track“ within the World Cup.

Due to the strong wind that reached up to 30km/h, the organization decided to lower the starting point of the second run to the 2.135 meters.

Worley obtained the victory in both the first and second run, reaching a total time of 2.01.80 minutes. The French skier obtains this way her second consecutive victory of the Giant. The Slovenian Tina Maze, got the second place on the podium with a total time of 2.01.96 minutes and Maria Hoefl-Riesch finished on the third position (2.02.55).

Despite the low temperatures, the public that attended the race really wormed up the atmosphere, transforming this day into an authentic ski festival.
