World Cup Volunteers
The eyes of the World are on us. On 10th, 11th and 12th February, snow sports lovers will be looking to the Avet slope. This weekend, Andorra will have a new opportunity to consolidate itself as a world alpine ski reference and, for the success of the event, it is essential to form a team of highly-motivated volunteers.
Don’t lose the chance to work on this unique project. We are depending on you! By joining the team of Soldeu 2012 volunteers you will broaden your experience in your field of work, form part of a group committed to the values of sport and teamwork, and you will be linked to the most important event of alpine skiing. We want to form a motivated team, prepared to participate in a historical event and ready to share their knowledge.
There are 200 volunteer positions available and many ways to participate. Get to know the different areas of work:
Techincal area
If you are the master of the slope, have a high alpine ski level, own top level equipment and have lots of time available, the technical area is for you. You can work closely with the race management and form part of the slope maintenance team or help with timekeeping tasks. You can also help us to guide the spectators to the Avet slope from different points of the resort and accompany groups of VIPs and journalists. You will always work on the slope where the meteorological conditions are variable but you will always have rest areas to recover energy.
Logistical area
Ah... You’re a person of action and can turn your hand to anything! Help us to erect and take down the start area, finish area and the stands. Work with us on handing out numbers and in the skiers’ provisions points. Manage flows at all access points and help us to position flags with sponsors’ logos at places of greatest visibility. You will have to be ready to combat the cold and you will enjoy yourself more if you know how to ski.
Administrative area
If you are one of those who prefer to enjoy sport behind the scenes, have a good command of a language and an intermediate level of office computers, join the race administrative team. You will work in the Press Office, assisting the media from all over the world or in the Race Office, welcoming the best skiers in the world and their trainers. You can work in the accreditation area and lend a hand in the VIP Village, etc.
